Thanks Barry

I would like to say thanks to Barry - respect. Barry James organised the karting evening some of you attended a couple of weeks ago. He did a superb job and the night was thoroughly enjoyed by all.

Basher Barling's team took the top spot on the podium. Terry Keefe was once again the man to beat as he came away with the fastest lap of the night.

It was all in the spirit of having fun though and any rivalry was washed away with a pint in the pub afterwards. Thanks again Barry.

New Transponder System

The little dude above plugs in to a spare socket in your receiver and is permanently wired and stuck down. Each Personal Transponder is unique to you; they all have an id code printed on them which is transmitted to the computer. You will never again have to come and get your transponder from race control: you just put your car on the track and go.

The transponder is unique and will work perfectly with any club running a compatible system.

Because you always have your transponder, the computer can time your laps during practice as well. So you can turn up on the night, wack your car down and then check your lap times. All before you race.

The new transponder system is digital as well which means that the reliability of the counting will be better.

Now then, down to how much this funky box is gonna cost you. Well, normally, these sell for about £50, but you will be able to buy them for around £30 as an introductory offer (only to club members). Warning: you will only have one chance to get them at this price so I recommend you email us with your order today.

I think they are well worth the money for the amount of hassle they will save; I've already got my order in. If you need any more information, you can check out www.amb-it.com or ask me on Wednesday night.
